On April 17, 2018 the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners released the 10th Edition of the Report of the Nations. The most comprehensive global study to date, this report compiles 2,690 cases of occupational fraud investigated by CFE's in 125 countries across the world. The Rhode Island Chapter invites its members and the public to read the report.
The ACFE announced that President James D. Ratley, CFE is retiring after 30 years of service to the association. He was a leading force in driving the association, working closely with Dr. Joseph T. Voting is now open for the ACFE Board of Regents! Nine candidates have been selected to compete for three positions on the 2018-2019 Board of Regents. The board sets standards to promote professionalism and ensure the reputation of the CFE credential. Beginning November 1 and ending December 31, CFEs can vote for their selections to replace three retiring Board of Regents members. The newly elected Regents will be installed in February 2018 and will each serve a two-year term. Link here for information on candidates and how to vote (CFE's only).
